Full Truckload

Full truckloads, sometimes abbreviated as FTL, TL or OTR (over the road), generally refers to surface transportation with a semi-truck. The carrier is moving bulk loads that are large enough to vindicate the use of an entire trailer.

This tends to be cost effective as it reduces the chances of freight damage with less handling.  The most common equipment type is a class 8 tractor with a 53’ dry van trailer, but refrigerated and open deck trailers are also common.

Our flatbed options cover over-dimensional and over-sized movements. Because flatbed freight is exposed to the elements, as well as the motoring public, safe loading, tarping, hauling, and unloading practices are exceptionally important. Our drivers are required to have years of proven flatbed experience before they are accepted into our flatbed fleet. We understand the nuances of flatbed hauling, and we strive to be the safest and the most reliable flatbed carrier on the road today.

Dry vans, the most common type of trailers, are often difficult to secure capacity at competitive rates because of their year-round demand. Food, pharmaceuticals, and other temperature sensitive shipments require a specific understanding of temperature-controlled transport to provide safe, secure and compliant freight movement.

Power-only, or tow away transportation, requires a broad array of driver experience and expertise; every type of trailer and every different load has specific nuances that must be understood in order to safely execute this type of logistics. The operations team behind our power-only group are able to deploy our assets strategically, while being mindful of customer expectations and the type of freight being hauled.

Less Than Truckload

Less Than Truckloads, commonly referred to as LTL, is a mode of surface transportation that, like full truckload, uses semi-trucks, but hauls multiple shippers’ freight together on the same trailer.

This type of freight is for customers that ship freight that is less than a full truckload but more than just a simple parcel.  The ideal shipments range from 1 to 6 pallets (or less than 12 linear feet). Shipments over 6 pallets are typically a candidate for volume LTL or partial truckload shipping.

Intermodal

Transporting goods with this service uses a combination of shipping methods,  air, rail, sea, or truck. This lowers the cost of delivery from pickup to drop-off.

Expedited

This is in case of emergencies where the cargo has to be transported quickly.  Usually done by air.
